I have had this machine for over six months and absolutely love it. In an
apt. setting it is just great. It washes beautifully; I think it often does
a better job than larger permanent washers when you use the long cycle.
However, I always wash in cold water and air dry everything now on gull
wing racks -= thus it is wonderful for saving energy. I do manually add
softener for the last rinse, which is very easy to do if you set a digital
kitchen timer as the cycles are consistent.

I exchanged a Danby DTT420 washing machine for this one (see my other
review). For a few dollars more this is far superior. I have only used it a
few times but it has all the basic features you would expect on a larger
machine. Additionally, it has a quick connect that lets you hook it up to a
sink if you don't have normal washer hookups (a big plus since I don't). It
seems to do a great job on clothes. The capacity can best be described as
moderate but OK considering the size.

Danby may be an unfamiliar brand to you, but the availability of its
products in the United States is definitely on the rise. Over the last few
years, we have seen a tremendous increase in their products, particularly
in laundry care and refrigeration categories. An appliance marketing
company, Danby offers products made around the world. The operation was
founded in Canada, but has a large presence in the United States in
Findlay, Ohio.

An excellent compact machine, we recommend Danby's DWM99W for those who
would be satisfied with both a mid-range price and a mid-range capacity in
their washer.
